We are parents, friends and professionals who are involved in the lives of children and adults with Down syndrome. It takes love, patience, education and support from family and friends for a child with special needs to flourish. The Down Syndrome Family Alliance of Greenville offers support to you and your family.

It’s our mission to enrich the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, helping them to reach their full potential by providing family support, information relating to Down syndrome, and promoting public awareness. The efforts of the Down Syndrome Family Alliance of Greenville will enable individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential and become respected members of their communities.

We educate and inform persons interested in Down syndrome and create an optimistic attitude through public awareness of the potential of persons with Down syndrome. We do not promote any particular therapy or treatment. The Down Syndrome Family Alliance of Greenville is an affiliate of the National Down Syndrome Congress and the National Down Syndrome Society.

The Family Alliance has created an online discussion forum to provide a supportive environment where people in the Down syndrome community can find information. You need not be a member of the Down Syndrome Family Alliance of Greenville to join our discussion forum (you don’t even have to live in South Carolina), but you do need to register as a forum participant in order to post here.
